That Dream You Stopped Talking About. That Prayer You Stopped Praying. That Vision You Locked Away. God Has Not Forgotten It. And He Is About to Breathe on It.
You’ve prayed for something for years and eventually went quiet. You had a dream so vivid, so detailed, so God-breathed that it kept you awake at night. But somewhere between the dream and the present moment, you stopped believing it would happen.
You did not announce that you gave up. Nobody gives up with a press conference. You just stopped talking about it. You stopped praying about it. You stopped planning for it. You filed it under “things that did not work out” and you moved on with your life. On the outside, you adjusted. On the inside, something died.
I am here to tell you today: God is about to breathe on the thing you buried.
God does not bury dreams. People do. And the God of resurrection specializes in opening graves that people sealed shut with their own disappointment.
Before you read another word, I want you to think about the thing you gave up on. Name it in your spirit right now.
The business idea. The marriage. The ministry calling. The child you have been praying for. The financial freedom you once believed was possible. The gift you stopped developing. The book you stopped writing. The prayer you stopped praying. Hold it in your mind. Because God is about to speak over it.
Why You Gave Up
You did not give up because you are weak. You gave up because the gap between what God showed you and what your eyes were seeing became too wide.
The vision was clear.
The reality was brutal.
And every day that passed without progress made the vision look more like a fantasy and less like a prophecy.
Abraham was told he would be the father of many nations. And then he waited 25 years before Isaac showed up. Twenty-five years of looking at Sarah’s barren womb and wondering if he heard God correctly. Twenty-five years of watching other people have children while his house remained empty.
If social media existed in Abraham’s day, he would have seen all his neighbours posting baby photos while he posted nothing.
Joseph was shown a dream of ruling at seventeen. By eighteen he was in a pit. By nineteen he was a slave. By his early twenties he was in prison. Thirteen years of moving in the opposite direction of what God showed him. If Joseph were alive today, people would have told him to “be realistic” and “accept his situation.”
You gave up because the timeline did not match your expectations. You gave up because people you trusted told you to move on. You gave up because the pain of hoping and being disappointed again felt worse than the pain of letting go. I understand. But understanding why you gave up does not change the fact that what you buried is still alive in the mind of God.
You moved on. God did not. The dream you filed away, He kept on His desk. Open. Active. Awaiting execution.
The Valley of Dry Bones
Ezekiel 37 is the most powerful resurrection chapter in the Old Testament. God took Ezekiel to a valley full of dry bones. Not fresh bones. Not bones with some flesh remaining. Dry bones. Bones that had been dead so long that every trace of life had evaporated. Bones that looked beyond hope, beyond repair, beyond any natural possibility of restoration.
And God asked Ezekiel a question: “Son of man, can these bones live?”
Look at that question. God was not asking because He did not know the answer. He was testing Ezekiel’s faith. He was asking: do you believe I can do the impossible? Do you believe that what looks completely dead can breathe again? Do you believe that dry, scattered, hopeless remains can become a living, breathing, standing army?
Ezekiel gave the right answer: “O Lord God, thou knowest.”
He did not say yes. He did not say no. He said, “You know, Lord.”
And that was enough. Because the question was never about Ezekiel’s ability to resurrect bones. It was about God’s.
“So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.”
— Ezekiel 37:7-8 (KJV)
The bones came together. The flesh returned. The skin covered them. But they were still dead. They had form but no life. Structure but no breath. And then God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the wind — to the breath — and command it to enter the bodies. And when the breath entered, they stood up. A vast army. Alive. Resurrected. Ready for war.
Your situation is a valley of dry bones right now. The dream looks dead. The vision looks scattered. The calling looks dry. But God is saying to you: prophesy. Speak to it. Open your mouth and command life to return. The breath of God is waiting for the sound of your voice.
The bones did not resurrect themselves. And your dead dream will not resurrect itself. But when the voice of a believer meets the breath of God, dead things have no choice but to stand up and live.
Sow a Seed Into This Ground
When you sow into this ministry, you are telling God and telling the enemy: I believe in resurrection. I believe dead things are coming back to life. I believe my season of restoration has arrived.
I speak over every seed sown right now. Your seed is rising before God today. And as it rises, blessings are descending. Doors are opening. Chains are breaking. What was dead in your finances is breathing again.

God Did Not Tell You to Bury It. You Decided That on Your Own.
God never told you to give up. He never sent you a message that said, “That dream I gave you? Forget about it.”
He never released a prophetic word over your life that said, “It is over.”
You made that decision. The enemy whispered. Your circumstances screamed. And you agreed with the wrong voice.
The vision Habakkuk received came with an instruction: “Though it tarries, wait for it.” God knew it would look like it was not happening. He knew there would be a season where the promise appeared dead on arrival. That is why He said wait. Because He knew you would be tempted to bury it before its time.
Some bury their calling because a pastor rejected them.
Some buried a business idea because the first attempt failed.
Some buried a prayer for healing because the doctor gave them a terminal diagnosis.
Some buried a prayer for their marriage because the papers were already signed.
But God is asking you today: who told you it was over? Was it Me? Or was it the pain?
Pain is not a prophet. Pain is a feeling. And feelings do not have the authority to cancel what the Almighty God has spoken over your life.
If God said it, no amount of pain, no number of failed attempts, no doctor’s report, no divorce paper, no bankruptcy filing, and no enemy’s curse can overrule it.
Stop burying what God is about to breathe on. You are putting dirt on something that heaven is trying to pull out of the ground.
Lazarus Was Dead for Four Days. Jesus Still Called Him Out.
Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.” She was telling Jesus it was too late. The body had decomposed. The funeral was over. The mourners had come and gone. Everybody had accepted the death. And then Jesus said seven words that changed everything:
“Lazarus, come forth.”
— John 11:43 (KJV)
He did not negotiate with death. He did not ask death’s permission. He did not evaluate whether it was too late. He commanded. And the dead man walked out of the grave still wrapped in burial clothes.
Your situation stinks right now. I know. It has been dead long enough that the stench of failure is in the air. The mourners have moved on. The people who once believed with you have accepted that it is over. But Jesus is standing at the mouth of the tomb right now. And He is about to call your dead thing by name.
Notice that Jesus called Lazarus by name. He did not say “Dead man, come forth.” He said “Lazarus.” Your dead dream has a name. Your dead calling has a name. Your dead business has a name. And when God calls something by name, death has to release it. It has no legal right to hold what God is calling out.
It does not matter how long it has been dead. Four days. Four years. Fourteen years. Time does not limit the God who created time. He is about to call your Lazarus out of the grave.
What Resurrection Looks Like in Real Life
Resurrection does not always look like a lightning bolt from heaven. Sometimes it looks like a phone call you were not expecting. Sometimes it looks like an idea that drops into your spirit at 2 AM. Sometimes it looks like a person who walks into your life and says the exact words God has been trying to tell you for months.
Resurrection looks like the woman who was told she could never have children and then discovered she was pregnant at forty-three.
Resurrection looks like the man who lost his business, spent three years rebuilding, and is now making more than he ever made before.
Resurrection looks like the marriage that was one signature away from divorce and is now stronger than it was on the wedding day.
Resurrection looks like the ministry that was dead for a decade and suddenly exploded with growth in a single season.
God does not resurrect things to bring them back to the condition they were in before they died. He resurrects them upgraded.
Jesus did not come back from the grave in the same body that was crucified. He came back in a glorified body that could walk through walls. What God is about to resurrect in your life will come back stronger, better, and more powerful than it was before it died.
What God resurrects, He upgrades. You are not getting back the old version. You are getting the glorified version. Better than what you lost. Stronger than what died. More beautiful than what was buried.
What God Needs You to Do Right Now
Three things. Simple. Powerful. Do not skip any of them.
First: Stop agreeing with the death report. Every time you say “it is over” or “it will never happen” or “I have accepted it,” you are speaking death over something God is trying to resurrect. Your words are either shovels that dig the grave deeper or hands that pull the dead thing out of the ground. Choose carefully what you speak.
Second: Prophesy to the dry bones. Open your mouth and speak to the dead situation. Not to God about the situation. To the situation itself. Ezekiel did not pray to God about the bones. God told him to prophesy to the bones directly. Speak to the dead business: “Live.” Speak to the dead marriage: “Breathe.” Speak to the dead calling: “Rise.” Speak to the dead finances: “Produce.” Your prophetic voice carries divine authority. Use it.
Third: Do not bury what God is breathing on. If you feel something stirring in your spirit as you read this, that stirring is the breath of God. He is already moving on the thing you gave up on. Do not push it down. Do not dismiss it as emotion. Do not tell yourself “I have been hurt before, I will not get my hopes up.” That is the voice of fear, not the voice of wisdom. Receive the stirring. Let hope come back. Let faith rise again. God is breathing. Let the dead thing receive it.
Prophetic Declarations — Open Your Mouth and Speak
1. I speak to every dead dream in my life: open your eyes. God said you are not allowed to stay in that grave. Come forth. Breathe. Live. In Jesus name.
2. I speak to every dead calling, every dead gift, every dead vision that the enemy tried to bury under disappointment: I command you to rise. The breath of God is entering you right now. Stand up. Stand up and live.
3. I prophesy to the dry bones in my finances. I speak to dead accounts, dead businesses, dead income streams: hear the word of the Lord. Bone come to bone. Flesh come upon you. Breath enter you. Live. Produce. Multiply.
4. I prophesy to the dry bones in my marriage. Every dead conversation, every dead intimacy, every dead trust: I command resurrection by the Holy Ghost. What was cold is becoming fire. What was broken is becoming whole.
5. I prophesy to the dry bones in my health. Every organ, every system, every cell that has been under attack: I speak the Word of the Lord over you. You shall live and not die. The Spirit of God quickens my mortal body right now.
6. I refuse to bury what God is breathing on. I refuse to agree with death when God is speaking life. I refuse to give up on what heaven has not given up on. If God says it lives, it lives. My faith is rising. My voice is returning. And the dead things in my life are hearing the sound of resurrection.
7. What God is about to resurrect in my life will come back upgraded. Not the old version. The glorified version. Stronger than before. Better than before. More powerful than before. God does not just restore. He upgrades. And my upgrade is here. In Jesus name.
Your Seed Is a Resurrection Offering
As you sow, I prophesy over your giving: this seed is not ordinary. It is a resurrection offering. It carries the anointing of the season. What you plant into this ground today activates the resurrection power of God over your dead situations.
