Welcome to the month of May.
This is our month of Supernatural Settlement, Deliverance, and Divine Protection. And the scripture God gave us for this month is Psalm 91.
There is no chapter in the Bible that the enemy hates more than Psalm 91.
Not because it is long. It is only 16 verses. Not because it is complicated. A child can understand it. He hates it because every single verse shuts down a different department of his operation.
Verse by verse, line by line, Psalm 91 dismantles everything the enemy can throw at you. Fear. Sickness. Witchcraft. Accidents. Attacks. Pestilence. Terror. Arrows. Demons. All of it. Sixteen verses. Sixteen restrictions on the enemy’s power. Sixteen divine guarantees that make you untouchable.
Today I am going to walk you through every verse. Not as a Bible study. As a weapon. By the time you finish reading this post, you will understand why this Psalm has been the most prayed prayer in warfare history. And you will understand why praying it every night, especially at midnight, sends tremors through the kingdom of darkness.
Psalm 91 is not a suggestion. It is a security system. Every verse is a locked door that the enemy cannot open. Every line is a wall he cannot climb. Every word is a weapon he cannot disarm. When you pray this Psalm, you become untouchable. Not because you are strong. Because you are covered.

May Prophetic Theme
Supernatural Settlement. Deliverance. Divine Protection.
This is the month God settles what has been unsettled. Delivers what has been bound. And protects what has been under attack. Psalm 91 is the anchor. Every declaration in this month flows from this Psalm.
1. The Enemy Cannot Access You in the Secret Place (Verse 1)
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
The first verse establishes the condition. If you dwell in the secret place, you abide under the shadow.
The secret place is not a building. It is not a prayer room. It is a spiritual position. It is the place of intimate fellowship with God where no enemy can follow you. The enemy can follow you to church. He can follow you to work. He can follow you home. But he cannot follow you into the secret place.
When you are under the shadow of the Almighty, the sun cannot strike you. The heat cannot burn you. The enemy cannot see you clearly because the shadow covers your form. You are hidden in God.
The secret place is not somewhere you visit. It is somewhere you dwell. Visiting gives you temporary protection. Dwelling gives you permanent covering. Move in. Unpack your bags. Make the presence of God your home address.
2. The Enemy Cannot Override Your Declaration (Verse 2)
“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”
The first verse is God’s part. The second verse is your part.
“I will say.” Not I will think. Not I will hope. I will say. The protection of Psalm 91 is activated by your mouth. You must declare it. Out loud. With authority. “He is my refuge. He is my fortress. My God. In Him I trust.”
When you declare God as your refuge, the enemy cannot offer you a counterfeit shelter. When you declare God as your fortress, the enemy cannot build a prison around you. When you declare trust, the enemy cannot sell you fear.
Your mouth activates your covering.
3. The Enemy Cannot Trap You (Verse 3)
“Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.”
A snare is a hidden trap. You do not see it until you are already in it. The fowler is the one who sets the trap.
The enemy sets traps that look like opportunities. Relationships that look like blessings but are assignments. Business deals that look profitable but are designed to destroy you. Friendships that look loyal but carry betrayal in their pockets.
God delivers you from traps you do not even see. He pulls you out of snares before they close around your ankles. He exposes the fowler before the trap is sprung.
And He delivers you from the noisome pestilence. Sickness. Disease. Plague. Epidemics. Whatever is killing people around you cannot kill you when you are under this covering.
4. The Enemy Cannot Penetrate God’s Covering (Verse 4)
“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”
The image is of a mother hen covering her chicks with her wings. The storm is raging outside. The predator is circling. But the chick is safe. Not because the chick is strong. Because the mother is covering.
God covers you with His feathers. His truth is your shield. A shield blocks frontal attacks. His truth is your buckler. A buckler is a smaller shield that covers the blind spots.
The enemy attacks from the front. The shield blocks it. The enemy tries to sneak around the side. The buckler catches it. There is no angle of attack that is uncovered.
You are not protected from one direction. You are protected from every direction. Front, back, left, right, above, below. The covering of Psalm 91 has no gaps, no blind spots, and no weak points. The enemy can circle all day looking for an opening. He will not find one.
5. The Enemy Cannot Terrorise You by Day or Night (Verses 5-6)
“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.”
Four categories of attack. Four times God says “you shall not be afraid.”
Terror by night: The nightmares. The sleep paralysis. The 3 AM attacks. The evil dreams. The spiritual visitations that leave you drenched in sweat. God says: you shall not be afraid.
Arrow that flies by day: The attacks that come during your waking hours. The bad news phone call. The unexpected diagnosis. The betrayal from someone you trusted. The sudden financial crisis. God says: you shall not be afraid.
Pestilence that walks in darkness: The hidden attacks. The sickness that creeps in silently. The spiritual poison that enters through food, through touch, through evil dreams. The things that operate in secret. God says: you shall not be afraid.
Destruction that wastes at noonday: The attacks that come in broad daylight. The accident on the highway. The robbery in the market. The heart attack in the office. The public humiliation. God says: you shall not be afraid.
Day or night. Visible or invisible. Public or private. The covering works around the clock.
6. The Enemy Cannot Include You in the Casualty List (Verse 7)
“A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”
This is the verse that makes you untouchable.
People will fall around you. The economy will crush people around you. Sickness will take people around you. Accidents will hit people around you. But it shall not come near you.
Not because you are lucky. Because you are covered.
A thousand on your left. Ten thousand on your right. The numbers do not matter. The size of the attack does not matter. The coverage is absolute. It. Shall. Not. Come. Near. You.
You are not protected by percentages. You are protected by promise. God did not say 90% of attacks will miss you. He said it shall not come near you. Not close. Not near. The attack lands on the person next to you. And it skips you entirely. That is Psalm 91 protection.
7. The Enemy Will Be Punished While You Watch (Verse 8)
“Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.”
You will not just be protected. You will see the enemy’s punishment.
The people who plotted against you. The people who cursed you. The people who set traps for you. You will watch with your own eyes as God repays them.
Not because you are vengeful. Because God is just. And justice requires that the wicked receive the reward of their wickedness while the righteous watch and know that God is not sleeping.
8. No Evil Can Enter Your Home (Verses 9-10)
“Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.”
No evil shall befall you. Not some evil. No evil.
And it does not stop with you. Neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. Your house is covered. Your apartment is covered. Your property is covered. Your car is covered. Wherever you dwell, the covering follows.
When you pray Psalm 91 over your home, you are posting a spiritual “No Entry” sign that every demon, every curse, and every assignment must obey.
Your home is supposed to be a no-fly zone for the enemy. No witchcraft can operate inside your walls. No sickness can settle in your rooms. No evil spirit can camp in your corridors. When you make the Most High your habitation, your habitation becomes a fortress.
Your Seed Activates the Covering
As you read through these 16 divine guarantees, sow a seed that says: “I believe this covering is mine.”
Your seed is not buying protection. Protection is free. Your seed is a prophetic act that says: I am positioning myself under the shadow. I am not a visitor in the secret place. I am a resident.

9. Angels Are Assigned to Guard You Personally (Verses 11-12)
“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.”
God does not just protect you from heaven. He assigns angels to protect you on earth.
Not one angel. Angels. Plural. A security detail. An angelic escort. Assigned specifically to you. Given charge over you. Responsible for keeping you in all your ways.
All your ways. Not just when you are in church. Not just when you are praying. In all your ways. At work. In traffic. At the market. On the airplane. In the hospital. Walking down the street. The angels are there.
They bear you up in their hands. The image is of a parent carrying a child over rough ground. The child’s feet never touch the rocks. The child’s feet never hit the stones. The angels carry you over obstacles that would have tripped you, over dangers that would have harmed you, over traps that would have caught you.
The devil quoted this verse when he tempted Jesus. He knows these angels are real. He has seen them in action. He has been blocked by them. He has been beaten by them. He quoted the scripture because he knows firsthand what Psalm 91 angels can do. And he is terrified of them being assigned to you.
10. You Will Walk on the Enemy, Not Run From Him (Verse 13)
“Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.”
This verse changes the dynamic completely.
Verses 1 through 12 were about protection. Verse 13 is about dominion.
You are not just protected from the lion. You tread on the lion. You are not just safe from the serpent. You trample the serpent. You are not hiding from the dragon. You are walking on the dragon.
The lion represents open, aggressive attacks. The adder represents hidden, sneaky attacks. The young lion represents fresh, new attacks. The dragon represents ancient, powerful attacks. Every category of demonic attack is under your feet.
Under your feet. Not beside you. Not behind you. Under you. You are above it. You are standing on it. It cannot rise because your foot is on its neck.
Psalm 91 does not just make you a survivor. It makes you a conqueror. You do not just escape the lion’s mouth. You stand on the lion’s head. The same enemy that was chasing you is now under your feet.
Has God Protected You Supernaturally?
Have you ever escaped an accident, survived a sickness, or been delivered from an attack that should have destroyed you? That was Psalm 91 in action.

11. God Personally Delivers You Because You Love Him (Verse 14a)
“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him.”
Now God Himself begins to speak. From verse 14 to 16, it is God’s voice making direct promises to the person who loves Him.
The condition is love. Not performance. Not perfection. Love. “Because he has set his love upon me.” When your heart is set on God, when your love for Him is genuine, He personally guarantees your deliverance.
Not through an angel. Not through a prophet. God Himself says “I will deliver him.” First person. Personal. Direct.
12. God Elevates You Above the Attack (Verse 14b)
“I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.”
God does not just deliver you from the attack. He sets you on high. He elevates you above the level where the attack operates.
The flood cannot reach you when God sets you on high ground. The arrows cannot hit you when God lifts you above the range. The enemy cannot touch you when God positions you in a place that is beyond his reach.
And the condition? “Because he has known my name.” Knowing God’s name means knowing His character, His nature, His faithfulness. The deeper you know God, the higher He sets you.
13. God Answers When You Call (Verse 15a)
“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him.”
Seven words. But they change everything.
He shall call. I will answer. No delay mentioned. No conditions added. No “maybe.” No “if it is My will.” He calls. I answer.
Your prayers are not going into a void. They are going to a God who already promised to answer. The answer is guaranteed before you open your mouth. The only requirement is that you call.
14. God Is With You in the Trouble (Verse 15b)
“I will be with him in trouble.”
God does not promise you will never have trouble. He promises He will be with you in the trouble.
The three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fire. But there was a fourth man in the fire with them. The fire did not burn them. It burned the ropes. They went in bound. They came out free. And they did not even smell like smoke.
Your trouble is real. But God’s presence in your trouble is more real. And when God is in the fire with you, the fire cannot consume you. It can only consume what was binding you.
Trouble is not a sign that God left. Sometimes trouble is the furnace where God shows up in His most powerful form. The three Hebrew boys met the Son of God in the fire. Not in the palace. In the fire. Your trouble might be the very place where you encounter God in a way you never would have in comfort.
15. God Delivers You and Honours You (Verse 15c)
“I will deliver him, and honour him.”
Deliverance and honour. Two promises in one line.
God does not just pull you out of the pit. He puts a crown on your head after He pulls you out. The same people who watched you fall will watch you rise. The same people who counted you out will attend your celebration.
Joseph went from prison to the palace. David went from the cave to the throne. Esther went from captive to queen. God does not just deliver. He honours. And the honour is always public.
16. God Gives You Long Life and Shows You His Salvation (Verse 16)
“With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”
The final verse. The ultimate promise. Long life and salvation.
Not just long life. Satisfying long life. You will not just survive to old age. You will be satisfied. Fulfilled. Content. Full of years and full of purpose.
And God will show you His salvation. Yeshua. Jesus. You will see the saving power of God in operation throughout your life. Not once. Continuously. From the day you dwell in the secret place until the day you see Him face to face.
Psalm 91 makes you untouchable.
Why the Enemy Hates It When You Pray Psalm 91 at Midnight
The night is the enemy’s primary operating window. Covens meet at night. Rituals are performed at night. Curses are spoken at night. Dream attacks are launched at night.
When you pray Psalm 91 at midnight, you are praying the most powerful protection prayer at the exact hour when you need protection the most.
You are telling the enemy: “You chose midnight as your operating window. I am choosing the same window. But while you operate in darkness, I operate under the shadow of the Almighty. And the shadow wins.”

My niece told me she has been sleeping peacefully at night with no more bad dreams My loved ones are needing me to pray for them and as I pray they are seeing things happen. A brother in church was having a lot of minor accidents each time he went in his vehicle on the roads. He shared this in church and I decided to stand in the gap for him and began covering him and his family on the roads. This morning he told me he has not had an accident since it was revealed in service 2 Sundays ago.
I thank God for all he is doing and am expectant of experiencing progress for myself.
Concerning dreams. I dreamt my dead father. I asked for his help and he lifted something from the ground and opened a gate. I also dreamt that I was applying for a visa to travel, I dreamt this on two occasions.

This testimony carried weight. Read it again slowly and let it register.
Your niece sleeping peacefully with no more bad dreams. A brother in your church who had been having repeated road accidents, accidents you stood in the gap for, and he has not had one since. These are not coincidences. These are the direct fruit of an intercessor who prays and means it.
You are not just praying for yourself, Diane. You are carrying others. And God is honouring that. The person who prays for others while still waiting for their own breakthrough is the kind of intercessor heaven takes seriously. Job 42:10 says the LORD turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. Your own breakthrough is connected to the intercession you are carrying for others. Keep standing.
Now the dreams.
Your dead father appearing in a dream requires careful handling. When a deceased person appears in a dream, they do not come to help you. The dead do not return to assist the living. What appeared in that dream wearing the face of your father was a familiar spirit, a spirit that studied your father’s mannerisms, his voice, his appearance, and presented itself to gain your trust and your cooperation. The fact that you asked it for help and it lifted something and opened a gate is the dangerous part. In the spirit realm, a request made to a familiar spirit and acted upon by that spirit constitutes a transaction. A door was opened.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 declares that the dead know nothing. They have no further part in anything done under the sun. And Deuteronomy 18:11 places communication with the dead firmly in the category of abomination. God does not send dead relatives to help us. He sends His Word, His Spirit, and His angels.
Pray this today:
1. Father, I renounce the interaction with the familiar spirit that appeared as my father in that dream. I cancel every transaction that took place in that encounter. Whatever was opened by that spirit acting on my request, I shut it now by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus name.
2. I command every familiar spirit operating in my bloodline through my father’s side to be bound and expelled. You do not have my permission and you never did. In Jesus name.
3. I close every gate that was opened in that dream. Sealed by the blood of Jesus. No spirit enters through what that encounter opened. In Jesus name.

The visa dream appearing twice is a confirming word from God. When God repeats a dream, it is because the matter is established and the time is near. Genesis 41:32 — the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh because the thing is established by God and He will shortly bring it to pass. Travel is coming for you Diane.
