Now hear me.

A weapon does nothing in the hand of a person who will not use it.

That something is the will to fight back.

See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. (Jeremiah 1:10)

Read that again.

God did not say He suggested you.

He did not say He permitted you.

He said He set you.

That is placement language. It is the language of a commander posting a soldier and telling him to hold his ground.

And notice who did the setting.

Not your father.

Not your circumstances.

Not the family that never wanted you.

God set you.

You are not an accident in your bloodline. You are not the unlucky one who inherited everybody’s problems. You are the appointed one.

And heaven did not set you there to weep. Heaven set you there to fight.

SOME THINGS WILL ONLY BOW TO WAR

Not everything will leave because you prayed a nice prayer.

Not everything will bow because you are a good person.

Some issues respond to counsel. Some respond to patience. And some respond to nothing but war.

You have explained that matter. You have reasoned with that person. You have tried apology, silence, distance, medication, consultation.

And the thing is still sitting exactly where it has always sat.

Hear me.

When something refuses to leave after everything reasonable has been tried, you are no longer dealing with a problem. You are dealing with a power.

And a power does not answer to explanation.

A power answers to fire.

YOU ALREADY HAVE THE AUTHORITY. USE IT.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

Look at the tense.

I give. Present tense. Already done.

He did not promise it for a future day when you become holy enough. He placed it in your hand the day you came to Him.

So why are so many believers still under the very thing they have power over?

Because they are holding the authority and never using it.

Like a man holding the key to his own house in his pocket, sleeping outside on the cold ground, because he forgot what was in his hand.

The devil is not afraid of the authority you carry. He is afraid of the authority you use.

And look at the word tread.

To tread is not to tiptoe. It is to step on a thing with weight, with your whole body behind it.

The scorpion does not negotiate with the foot that treads on it.

That is your posture this season.

Not the bent back of a beggar.

The full weight of a warrior who knows what is under his feet.

WORRY IS NOT WARFARE

Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. (Ezekiel 3:17)

A watchman has two duties.

He must see.

And he must sound.

A watchman who sees the enemy and says nothing has failed as completely as one who slept.

Either way, the city burns.

Let me talk to you directly.

You have seen it. For years you have known something was wrong in your family line, wrong in your finances, wrong in the pattern that repeats from time to time.

You discerned it. You worried about it. You talked about it with a heavy heart.

But you never once opened your mouth and confronted it.

Hear this and let it change everything.

Worry is not warfare. Discernment without a decree is only information.

The enemy is not moved by how much you have noticed him. He is moved by a believer who turns what they discerned into a command.

SOME THINGS ARE NOT GIVEN. THEY ARE TAKEN BY FORCE.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11:12)

There is a class of blessing God will never hand to a passive believer.

Not because He is unwilling. But because it can only be taken by force.

Look at who received the most in Scripture.

Jacob wrestled till daybreak and would not let go.

Bartimaeus shouted louder when they told him to be quiet.

The woman with the issue of blood pressed through a whole crowd to touch the hem.

Not one of them received by sitting still and hoping.

They took it by force.

So stop waiting for your breakthrough to be politely delivered to your door.

Some things you must go and take.

Rise up. Press in. Lay hold. And refuse to let go until the blessing is in your hand.

STOP CUTTING THE BRANCH. GO FOR THE ROOT.

Go back to the six words God gave in Jeremiah.

Root out. Pull down. Destroy. Throw down. Build. Plant.

Count them.

Four are demolition. Only two are construction.

Heaven spends more words on removal than on building.

But you have spent almost all your prayer asking God to build, and almost none commanding to remove.

That is why the same thing keeps growing back.

You have been planting on ground you never cleared.

You prayed for a new job, but never uprooted the spirit of stagnation.

You prayed for a good marriage, but never pulled down the pattern of broken homes in your bloodline.

A weed that is only cut still has its root.

And a root left untouched grows the same weed next season. Sometimes in the next generation.

This season, you do not trim. You uproot.

KEEP THE FIRE BURNING MORE THAN ONE NIGHT

The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. (Leviticus 6:13)

There is a secret in that command.

The altar in your life is not a table.

The altar in your life is your consistency.

A fire that burns for one night warms nobody.

But a fire that burns night after night consumes everything hiding in the dark.

Some powers have been in a family for generations.

They have watched people pray one loud prayer and then go quiet.

They are not afraid of one night.

But a believer who shows up night after night, who will not quit, who keeps the fire burning, has made up their mind.

And heaven always answers a made-up mind.

So do not rise up for a quick fight.

Rise up for a finished one.

HOW TO FIGHT BACK THIS SEASON

So how do you move from a worried spectator to a warring watchman?

Start here.

1. Make the decision, and make it final.

Warfare begins in the will before it reaches the voice. Decide you will not spend another year negotiating with what will only bow to fire.

2. Write your list.

Every issue, in your life, your marriage, your children, your health, your finances, your family line, that must burn this season. Write it plainly. You cannot war against a target you never named.

3. Take your position.

Stop praying from underneath, like a victim. Pray from above, like a watchman God set in place, with the enemy under your feet.

4. Go for the root.

Do not only ask God to build. Command Him to uproot, pull down, and throw down first. Clear the ground, then plant.

5. Pray aloud, and pray at night.

The devil does not read minds. He responds to authority spoken. And the midnight hours, where many evil transactions are carried out over families, are exactly where a warrior goes to shut them down.

6. Keep the fire burning.

Do not quit after one night. If you miss a night, do not condemn yourself. Pick it up and continue. The enemy would rather you quit in guilt than continue in weakness.

DECREE THIS OVER YOUR LIFE NOW

Stand up. Say these out loud. A warrior fights with his voice.

God set me in this family. I am not a victim here. I am a watchman, and I am in charge, in the name of Jesus.

I carry authority over all the power of the enemy, and from tonight, I use it.

Worry is not my warfare. What I have discerned, I now decree.

I do not beg for what is mine. I take it by force.

I do not cut the branch. I uproot the root.

My fire will not go out after one night. It burns until every stubborn thing is consumed, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
